OUR WORKSHOPS
Our most popular workshops
We offer an array of fascinating different workshops. Some being more hands-on than others. Each expedition includes an array of these workshops, as chosen by the client groups.

Intro to Wildlife Photography
In this workshop you will have a chance to learn the basics of wildlife photography from one of our guides. This will cover the essentials needed to start your journey as a wildlife photographer, everything from shutter speed to focus this workshop will let you learn the ropes.

You will need to bring your camera to partake in this workshop, the workshop will be both taught and then applied in the field. (It should be noted that the workshops will cover the basics to wildlife photography, and some differences are present between different camera models).
Intro to Camera Trapping
This workshop will show you the in’s and out’s of how camera traps work and will also give you the chance to learn how to setup up the camera traps, collect the footage and figure out what locations are wildlife hotspots. Our guides will bring you into the field and have you set up a camera trap to see what wildlife may appear. Camera trapping will be an ongoing survey method we implement in our expedition, this workshop will give you a better understanding of what we are doing.

(Camera traps arent required but feel free to bring one)

Night Photography and Lighting
This workshop will focus on teaching you the basics of photographing wildlife at night. This will mostly focus on reptiles, amphibians and inverts. Night photography is a bit harder to understand and do than daytime photography, the settings change and so does our necessary equipment, specifically light! From using headtorches to flash guns. This workshop will be both taught and implemented by giving you hands on help on our night walks.

(Cameras are required for this)
All of our workshops
Our workshops are hybrid-taught, a mixture of both classroom presentations and in-field applications. They are aimed to be interactive and engaging. Each of the workshops will be taught by one of our ARK guides and will focus on examples of the local wildlife.
